Through 4 years of a coalition government, austerity has been forced on the country. In reality the cuts and savings are being directed at public services and benefits, which only affect the middle classes, the poor and the most in-need in our society. Yet the country’s debts and financial strains were directly caused by the practices of the wealthiest with the banks being the main culprits. The UK has an estimated £119 Billion deficit due to tax evasion. Are the rich getting away with murder at the expense of the poor? And how exactly does the economy work?

EPISODE 2 – IMMIGRATION
‘Immigrants are stealing our jobs’ and ‘We’re being over-run and the country’s full up’, are the words and statements we are hearing from our country’s media, government and peole. But how true is this?
How can a person, who in some cases can barely speak the language steal jons from our own population who have grown up and been educated inthe UK? Is the perceprtion the truth or is there something more sinister and manipulative going on?

Our governments are monopolised and run by the privately educated, with ..% of parliament and most of the coalitionn government having been educated in this way. Is there an even playing field for all in society? Does education alone give you the opportuny to reach the top or is where you are educated more important? With ..% of degree graudates in long-term unemployment or doing jobs completely unrelated to their studies through lack of opportunity, should we be concerned with the realities of social mobility? Do the privileged control our fate

EPISODE 4 – PRIVATISATION
Undoubtedly most Britains are proud, passionate and protective of the NHS, one of our greatest inventions. Are austerity and capitalism placing our NHS under threat? Is it being slowly strangled of finance and being sold off? And would we even recognise it was happening? Our ever increasing aged population are going to increasingly need NHS services. Will the NHS be there for us in the future or will we have to suffer a health service structure like the Americans, where profit comes before care, and income is hit by costly health insurance.
