Stephen Hawking is a national hero! End of story! Except it’s not, as people with disabilities are once again being pushed to the bottom of the pile with the austerity cut-backs.

On top of that there is still an uncomfortable stigma faced by disabled people everyday, arguably mores than any other minority group. A article in the The Guardian written by Stephen Hawking daughter calls out one person who has a huge following and influence over her distasteful words associated with disability, titled;

“My father is Stephen Hawking, and I have an autistic son. So it makes me sad when your ‘jokes’ about Ed Miliband mock people with disabilities.”
